Iberian Lawyer magazine dedicated an extensive report, both in its English and Spanish editions, analysing the situation of Litigation and Arbitration Financing in Spain and gathered the opinions of various professionals in the sector on this practice, which is becoming increasingly consolidated in Spain.

The article had several opinions from our Managing Partner Cristina Soler who considers that “Litigation Finance was initially consolidated in sectors where litigation is particularly costly, due to the need for professional technical specialization and the special economic relevance of the debate and the claims at stake”.

Cristina Soler indicated that, although this practice is mainly concentrated in the United Kingdom, Australia and the United States, “In Spain, Litigation Finance is already perceived as a consolidated alternative” “Spanish international arbitration proceedings have already been financed, some of them related to the energy sector, important civil, collective and consumer proceedings, as well as commercial proceedings”.
